Issue # 001 - SUDDENLY! A Wild Thing Appears! [Action]
Falling dreams are normal. You lock up with a start in your bed whenever you hit the ground, blink up at the ceiling before rolling over and going back to bed. Or you wake up mid fall, hit the carpet, groan, then climb back in to fall asleep again. Or try to. They're universal. If you can fall or fly or know of the concept- you can have a falling dream.
Ben Grimm has flying dreams, most often. Not the ones where you sail along in the middle of nowhere in nothing but your pajamas- flight dreams of controls and cockpits and the thrill of the test. Pushing a carefully crafted machine to the limit and then some. Twisting mid air and hitting the highest peak before plummeting down with all the weight of gravity wrapping around his gut and giving it a solid yank. That's his kind of falling dream.
Normally when he has them, he wakes up when he hits the ground.
Waking up mid fall is odd.
Waking up literally mid-air?
A revolt'n development.
He can't see or hear past the rush of wind, can't really get a good look at the ground beyond an impression of trees, houses, water way out over to the side. No sign of Reed, Sue, or Johnny. Nowhere soft to land either.
"Aw $%#@%!"
The landing's rough. He's had rougher, but he thinks he skips a few times. Barrels through a few trees. Clips a building, glances off a roof somewhere. Lands in...he has no idea. But the wall shears open like tissue paper and he finally rumbles to a stop, swearing in a low, gravely voice.
"...hate when that happens."
[ooc: Break time if you like, Ben can land anywhere and everywhere- in your home, in front of your place of business, in the fountain. Find him wherever you want! Break time!]

Sue's instincts kicked in, and threw up a gooey, malleable force field, protecting her and enveloping whatever it was that'd blown apart her wall.]

Action let me know if there's a problem.
Falling backwards, Sora hits the ground. Ouch, but whatever just hit his leaf pile is moving...and now talking. Oh boy, what? Standing up, Sora edges closer to see some rocky type person. Ooookay, not the weirdest thing he's seen but on the list.]
Uhhh, you okay there, Mister?
[Action]
As it is he's surprised there isn't much by way of a crater. Maybe the three trees he bashed through on his way down slowed him enough. He sits up and starts scrubbing his face. Feels too damn heavy for how he'd normally be. And sore. He never feels sore.]
Been better kid.
Re: [Action]
[And so, Sora summons his keyblade in a flash of light. Raising it into the air it the tip glows for a moment and then three blossoming flowers will appear over Ben's head. They emit a green, shimmering light and Ben should feel that soreness go away. Curaga is a great thing to have, even if it's only at 50% power it should get rid of soreness.]
Feel any better?

And then worse when it comes to staying asleep. Much worse.
So he's up and working, books spread out on his table, papers forming little drifts. He's just gotten up to make a new cup of tea, turning back toward the table with cup in hand and
CRASH
there is no longer a table. There is instead broken wood, roofing tiles, a spray of paper, and an orange... thing.
Loki takes a careful sip of his tea. There isn't much else he can do, other than gather his magics, ready to fight, which he'd done the instant he heard a loud noise.]
It's customary to use the door.

[No idea where he's landed, just glad enough that he has, Ben sits up and scrubs at his face with a rough hand. Everything's still spinning a bit from the fall. Not far enough t'make sense for that t'happen.
Something's off, besides the fact he fell in the first place.]
no subject
I rather liked my house the way it was.
[His instinct is to attack, while the orange thing is disoriented. But he already knows that's a bad idea. Killing it (him?) won't accomplish anything but creating another problem in seven days. And he was likely someone's friend already, knowing Loki's luck.
So the next alternative was to try to make the best of a shocking situation and see about making a new ally. Or at least not making an enemy.]

And then an orange pile of anthropomorphic rocks landed in my goddamn bed. Or, actually, it landed about six inches into the floor under where my bed had previously been.
Why the hell does this always happen to me?

He pauses in the kitchen, setting down his groceries and walks over to the door, concerned that something had happened to her, and wary in case of an attack.]
Sue? Sue are you okay?

Well if your typical day involves large masses of rocks landing in the fountain just as you're walking past it, sure. For Selphie? Not so much. The water that is displaced from it comes cascading down on Selphie and succeeds in knocking her off balance. She'll land on the ground with an oomph before she's swiping her bangs out of her eyes. She'll stand up eventually and pull out her nunchaku and walking up to the mass of rocks warily.]
Thanks Malnosso, I'd already had a shower today...
[Action]
He landed in water. Kind of.
He coughs and sputters, pulling himself up out of the crater he'd made in the bottom of the...fountain. Nice touch.]
...did I stick the land'n?

At any rate, Selphie just keeps her eyes on Ben.]

Oh, hell, it's alive.
Her second thought was:
Oh hell, it's alive!
Which meant, of course, that it could be injured. She kind of doubted it, considering in her experience things that big and colorful took a heck of a lot more than a big fall to knock out, but hey, if he landed on the wings...
She took a half-step closer, one hand tugging a glove up.]
Hey - ya all right there?
no subject
That's always nice. He takes a moment to stare up at the sky and just wonder how the hell he ended up so far from New York. Cuz this sure as @#$%! wasn't the Baxter building.
It takes a coupla second for the ringing in his head to dull down enough for him to register that he was being spoken to by. Someone young. And female.]

He stares at the large, orange rock...thing that landed on his floor; his mind still processing the shock. It takes a moment, but it finally clicks that whatever this is seems to have a human-ish shape. And when it speaks that pretty much clinches the idea.]
Um...do you fall through people's roofs often? [Pause.] Are you alright?
action
[He doesn't quite groan, but he doesn't get up either. Everything in his head is rig'n like a bell.]
S'the best way t'make a good impression. Ladies love it.
action
It was an impressive landing. Although I'd probably be more upset if the buildings here didn't regenerate themselves. [He holds out a hand just in view of Ben's sight.]
